Solo Runs
No group? No problem. These mini solo campaigns let you experience the D6 Storyteller system on your own. Each scenario gives you a pre-built character, a tense situation, and three actions resolved by dice rolls. A Full Success or Partial Success moves the story forward, but a Failure ends your run. How far can you get?
The Burrow Kingdoms
A Subterranean World of Evolved Molari
Deep beneath the cracked, sun-scorched earth, far below where roots dare reach, the Molari have built a civilization in darkness. Descended from naked mole rats across thousands of generations of accelerated evolution, these sturdy humanoids stand roughly four feet tall, with thick, wrinkled skin ranging from pale pink to dusty grey. Their small, dark-adapted eyes navigate by the faint luminescence of bioluminescent fungi and phosphorescent mineral veins that streak through rock like frozen lightning.
The Molari organize into Warrens, interconnected tunnel-cities carved from bedrock, each governed by a Queen who leads through pheromonal influence, political cunning, and sheer force of will. Society divides into three castes:
- Tunnelers are the engineers and excavators who expand the network, shore up passages, and maintain the delicate geothermal vents that warm the Warrens.
- Surfacers are scouts who brave the deadly overworld to harvest sun-dependent resources: mosses, insects, rainwater, and the rare minerals that fuel Molari bio-lamps.
- Claw-Guards are warriors and protectors who defend against predators, rival Warrens, and the strange burrowing horrors that lurk in the Deeprift below.
Life in the Burrow Kingdoms is communal, tactile, and vibrating with low-frequency hums that carry meaning across miles of stone. But threats are constant: tunnel collapses, surface predators, and the ever-present tension between Warrens competing for territory and resources.
How Solo Runs Work
Each scenario gives you a pre-built character with a set dice pool.
When prompted, roll your dice pool. The highest die determines the outcome: 6 = Full Success, 4–5 = Partial Success, 1–3 = Failure.
Success or Partial Success advances the story to the next action. Failure ends the run, but you can always try again.
