Print and cut out one set of three cards per player. When a character takes a condition, place the matching card face-up in front of them. The mechanical effects are printed right on the card so nobody forgets them.
Tip: Print on cardstock. Use Ctrl+P → Landscape → Save as PDF.
Rattled, distracted, winded, or unnerved. You can still act, but you are off your game.
Injured, compromised, or in real pain. You can keep going, but it costs you.
Unconscious, captured, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to act. You are removed from the scene.
Conditions improve through the fiction, not through mechanics. Shaken clears with a brief rest or a calming moment. Hurt requires medical attention, extended rest, or a deliberate recovery scene. Out needs rescue, intervention, or significant time. The Storyteller decides when recovery happens based on what the story demands. Conditions do not automatically clear between sessions.
